If you are visiting Delphi in Greece, you are most likely looking for an accommodation in the nearby village of Arachova. Forget the rest of the hotels if you can get a room at Hotel Likoria Delphi Arachova!
We visited Delphi in the month of May and got a super good deal there. That is because Mount Parnassus, on which the famed oracle is situated, is also a modern ski resort! This would explain the Alpine charm of the village of Arachova and all the ski equipment shops around.
Also, the food culture here is less seafood and more meat and pasta. In fact, Arachova has their own pasta called hilopites.
What I liked about Hotel Likoria Delphi Arachova ενοδοχείο Λυκώρεια?
It has an old world charm to it, with the lounge area being extremely cosy and comfortable. In the basement, there is also a sauna for those cold nights.
I really liked our room and the bed was big, firm and comfortable.
It is a family-run hotel and we were served by a pair of brothers who served us breakfast, as well as explained the history of the hotel and of the village.
What I really like the most was the amazing view our balcony gave us. Simply exuberant!
As you can see, I had the opportunity to wake up to one of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world at the break of dawn, as Nature intended me to be, just like Apollo!
